There's been no fooling around in this enjoyable series of single hop beers, although this one is not the most flavoursome hoppy beer in this instance - hints of liquorice provide the best flavour. Not much to saviour in aroma either. Texture is easy for its strength though, and a very good-looking brew.

It is possible to be in Earnest, although it's no more than a Kansas ghost town these days. Clear light golden and good looking brew. Hoppy with a dryish taste, some fruit too, watery is dominant though in descriptions. Not thin though. Some sugars

Cask at PoW Beer Festival. Slightly cloudy opaque chestnut brown. Thin frothy off-white head. Aroma has caramel with a nuttiness and burnt edge. Flavourwise it is punchy - herbal, berries, resinous iver grains and burnt caramel. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Decent.

Special Café Beermoth House Beer Birthday Special Beer #4 of 4. Golden coloured brew. Quite fruity, but certainly more home grown than exotic, a little stewed or orchard design. Hopped too. Fair indiginous stuff.

Special Café Beermoth House Beer Birthday Special Beer #3 of 4. Golden with a small haze. Given the name of the hop in here peach notes are unsurprisingly apparent. A little understated through a watery texture, they provide enough flavour to make it interesting, and somewhat floral. Peach best in aroma.

Your Lucky Day In Hell was an Eels single I bought in the same week Princess Diana died. Lower alcohol beer with sweet lemonade masking the aforementioned. It feels more soda than beer, but only just. Its carbonation is the main 'pop' factor given there's plenty of it. Aroma more beer-like. Not a bad choice pick-me-up by any means.
