Description
We are independently owned and brew by hand in small batches at our microbrewery in central Stockport. For us, flavour and quality always come first.
As brewers, we respect brewing tradition though our beer is contemporary in style.
As drinkers, we want to enjoy every beer that we make – so for us, brewing isn’t just about the end product, it’s about the process. So it’s worth doing right.

On tap at Runaway Brewery Taproom, Stockport (not yet listed on RateBeer). Pours almost black with a sizable foamy cream head and good lacing. Roast malts to the fore in thw aroma plus hints of floral hops and nuts. In the mouth it is sweet with fairly high carbonation. Roast malts and grains in the flavour, plus traces of cola and dried fruits. Sweetness can still be detected in the finish. It’s reasonable if not outstanding – and an interesting beer. Would say it’s a Schwarzbier though not an Indian Dark Lager.

Gravity cask at the 2024 Leicester CAMRA Beer Festival, Abbey Pumping Station. Dark purplish brown with an uneven ring of khaki head. Liquorice and pine, a little bit of blackberry and lots of dark malt in the aroma. Taste start sweet and piney but turns darkly bitter quite quickly. Big pine on the finish. Light and slightly pile body, no carbonation. Special!

Stockport Beer Festival 2024. Darker brown coloured. Hoppy dark malty brew, lageresque, although more ale-like in the main.

Keg @ Stockport Beer Festival 2024. Hazed golden in colour. Crisp full-bodied brew with a gritty tropical-fruit aroma and taste.

Stockport Beer Festival 2024. In collaboration with a local coffee shop, the brewer went to said premises to taste different coffees and the one chosen is a good one. Deep hazy golden with heavy dry bean coffee in aroma and taste, it has quite a crisp texture. Its white stout character is heavy too.

Cask gravity at K&ES railway BF 2024. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Spicy orange aroma of a Belgian wit beer. Full in the mouth. Good bitterness. Unusual for a British brewer to do this style but this is decent a little earthy.

Menu here indicates 2.2%. Either way, somewhat unsatisfying
