Cloudy and amber, but it looks a bit flat without much head. The aroma has some vinous notes, random esters but I can’t figure them out, and maybe some vegetal character. Very sweet. On the palate, the vinous stuff doesn’t show through too much. Honestly, this has not come together, but then the base beer really isn’t that good to begin with. Unless you’re going to dry that stuff out, there’s not much you can do.

Draft - Ginger sweetness. Pale gold with a decent white head. Light herbal notes with a light floral herbal bitterness. Ginger is there as well. More like a ginger beer.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. Penetrating aroma, fruity (melon) and flowery (elderflower), perfume (7.5). Dry mouthfeel, it has a good acidity level that arrives with plenty of bitter citrus zest: lemon, grapefruit, more citrus oil in the final.
Aggressive, nice.

On tap at St. Augustines’s. Pours a murky yellow with a white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy, very fresh. Same character tart taste with some wild yeast notes. Slight hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Pleasant and refreshing.

Bottle, Legacy. Cloudy and pale, looks great in the sunlight. Thin head. Bright, expressive citrus nose, some melon and the sacc trois comes in a bit, too. Melony taste, light tartness. The body is soft, with a nice sweetness up front. Orangey, melony...great hop character, really good balance. A winner.

Hazy, big head. Light amber. The sacc trois pops in the nose, along with a herbal hop nose. Quite fizzy, fruity hop, again a strong yeastiness, touches of berries. Not as complex as I might like, though.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy opaque with a large white head. Aroma brings out some dirty wild yeast, light piney hops, and earthy notes. Flavour is well-balanced between earthy and piney hops, and lightly funky yeast. A bit dirty and sharp, but it works pretty well.

Bottle from NB Liquor. Dark burgundy under a large lingering khaki head that leaves tons of lace. Nose is dark chocolate and resin with some vanilla, coffee and roasted nuts. Enough sweetness to support a medium+ chocolate bitterness. Medium creamy mouth with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Flavourful.

473mL can, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is huge on the coriander, with a pretty monolithic spiciness. Flavour is very dry and spicy, with lots of coriander dominating, along with a bed of soft dry pillowy wheat. Solid stuff.
