Brown Iron draught, 6/8/24. Undetermined clarity. Dark mahogany. Massive, frothy, cocoa-tan head. Lactose and chocolatey-caramel malt character. Yet the lactose isn't bothersome. Good acidity and ample base malt. Nice and dry, with a medium-light body. Modest acidity, moderate lactose and very crusty, crunchy, roasted, chocolatey malts. But not too roasted, thankfully. Cleaner, shorter finish. Very polished and competent/well-done.

12 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Opaque black pour. Large frothy tan head. Roasted malt nose hints at chocolate and coffee. Flavor mirrors nose. Lacks the sweetness that is common for the style. Dry finish.

12 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Amber orange pour. Large, pillowy beige head. Nice lacing. Earthy, toasted bread malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor has a hint of toffee sweetness. Spicy hops in finish balances this brew nicely. Nice effort.
