Swing-top bottle: Dark amber coloured, thin, lacing off-white head; light, clear malty nose; light dry malty beginning, light bitter flavour, small bitter-sweet finish with some traces of chocolate; not sweet, quite well rounded, but a bit watery.

Swing-top bottle: Hazy, pale yellow colour, firm, but quickly collapsing white head; fruity (citrus, bananas ?), yeasty nose; smooth, sweetish fruity start, rather creamy texture, light sweet flavour; becomes dryer towards the light bitter aftertaste. O.K., but nothing remarkable....

Bottle. Slightly bitter barley and chocolate malt aroma. Cola brown color with little head. Highly carbonated and moderate acidity - light chocolate malt flavor - pretty weak. Not a great tasting schwarzbier - bland.

Bottle. A mild hops and malt aroma. Golden yellow with a quickly collapsing head. A very distinct hay flavor with a nice malty finish. Watery body. Nice flavor but on the weak side.

(swing top bottle) Dark brown colour with small diminishing head. Roasted malts with some fruity aspects and hops. Light to medium bodied with smooth toasted malts with a light hopbitter aftertaste. I somewhat like it because of its crispy & refreshing well balanced taste.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden with a decent head. Pronounced malty sweetness well balanced by an equal bitterness. Comes in an unusual, tall 33 cl swing-top bottle.

Pale and hazy yellow with medium head. Hoppy bouquet with slight citrus aroma. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness and small dry finish. Really not bad, but also a rather average beer from swabian Bavaria.
