Bottle. A more or less clear one, deep golden in color, with a minimalistic off-white head. The aroma has quite a lot of tea, with dark dried fruit, toffee, fruit caramel, alcohol and a hint of chocolate. Some faint vegetal hints. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and very softly carbonated, with a good dash of bitterness. Not in an American BW style though. Toffee, dark dried fruit, tea hints, alcohol and chocolate in the flavor. A touch of vegetables and pine cones too. Lasting finish. A bit unusual Barley Wine, but quite nice. Would’ve liked a tad more carbonation though. 221126

Rødbrun farge med offwhite skum. Lukter lkaramellmalt og krydder. Maltsødme preger smaken noe mørke stenfrukter og urter.

0,5 flaske fra VP Herbarium, hjemme: nesten helt klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Behagelig krydret anslag med balanserte inntrykk, fin bitterhet og lang ettersmak. God maltsmak, og det ekstra vitamininnholdet gir den det nødvendige lille ekstra som vanlig 4,7-pils vanligvis mangler. Velkomponert og lettdrikkelig.

For a pils and themselves, it’s a weaker one. A bit too bitter, but not in a nice smooth czeck way. Lacking drinkability. From brewery in Norway

Unfortunately one of their worst beers. Just lacking superb cleanliness and a to-style feel. Just a muddy lowly drinkable beer. From brewery in central norway

For keepin it to 4.7 they’ve done a great job. True to the characteristics of the style. Tastes a lot more bewzy though. Not perfect, has it’s plentiful flaws: body is too fruity while having a sharp dry bitterness, something doesn’t mesh. Bottle from brewery in Norway
