Bottle from the supermarket in Geiranger. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt, hay, light floral hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a citrus, acid, light pepper spice palate and a short bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. I really don’t get the low ratings at all. Maybe a bad batch? It’s no conventional Golden Ale, but it has plenty of different flavours and sensations and it’s very refreshing. I don’t consider this to be flawed at all.... just a little different. I’d buy this again.

Bottle. An unclear, dark orange to amber colored beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is lightly chalky and yeasty, with some orange notes and pale malts. Pine cones. It’s full-bodied and dry, with a tad too much carbonation. Citrus zest bitterness, some lightly caramel-ish maltyness, pine cones, yeast hints and some grapefruit in the flavor. Lasting bitter and citrusy finish. Far from impressive this one, but easy drinkable in a way. 140619

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick off-white to light beige head. Some lacings. The aroma has a nice caramel, bready maltyness and some citrus peel and pine cones, but there’s also a not so pleasant phenolic smoke note that shouldn’t be there. Some canned fruits in the flavor, with citrus peel, pine cones and oranges, as well as a little bitterness. The little smoke note known from the aroma is also present. Medium body, quite dry and with a pleasant carbonation. Lightly bitter finish with pine cones, phenolic smoke and citrus peel. Pity about the smoke, else it’s a decent session IPA. 140617
