12 oz can. Pours hazy sunshine yellow with a medium white head with good retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma is corny, lemony, bready. Taste starts out lightly sweet before turning quite bitter and lingering that way long after the swallow. Medium-bodied, prickly carbonation. This really has not much in common with your average pale lager. Its bitterness and general hop character backed by noticeable bready malt make this much more interesting. This tastes the way lagers should taste. There’s more to it than the carbonated water the big brewers pump out.

On tap at the Mountain Brewers Festival 2013. One of the highlights. Pours a mostly clear brown color with a medium white head. A rich nose of grains, oatmeal and big fruity hops. The flavor was balanced between the bitter hops, some fruit and earthy notes consistent with a brown ale such as nuts, toffee, some biscuit. Light coffee. very good. Big pine.

Can split at Endo’s house, thanks to Ben for sourcing this on his ID roadtrip. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malt, light hops, bitter orange notes. Taste is malt forward, sugars, light grapefruit, orange pith, touch of hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Ok APA.

On tap at Fedora in CDA, ID. Slightly hazy golden pour with a lacy white head. Not much aroma here, but I’m getting some piney, citrusy nose. Bittersweet flavor. Flavors of pine and catbox. Thin body with soft carbonation. Crisp and refreshing but it’d be better with a bigger body and more carbonation.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This beer is a hazy dark amber color with a thin off-white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of malt and spiced hops. Light body with flavors of mildly spicy rye, grainy malt and hops. The finish is mildly hoppy with a spice aftertaste. Decent overall.
