The tradition of our house goes back to Wolfgang Pfeffer, who founded the brewery in 1889. He made the recipe for our steam beer. His demands on quality and taste are still the guideline for our art of brewing. 500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy pale golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, minimally strawy, cautiously fruity aroma with a touch of citrus. Taste is minimally tart with a lemon touch, cautiously grainy and strawy. Fresh and quaffable.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and slightly strawy aroma. Taste is mineral, metallic, pale malty with subtle sweetness, very cautiously fruity (apple); thin and slightly watery.

330ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy, minimally grassy and flat bitter hoppy aroma. Taste is minimally fruity, dry to bitter hoppy, pale malty basis. Rather standard PIlsener with slightly over average hop note.

Dieses Spezial, das aus nostalgischen Gründen (und wahrlscheinlich auch marketingtechnsich) Dampfbier genannt wird, ist ein klassisches Helles mit einem netten, vollen Körper voller Getreide und Malz. Es ist schön süffig und hat einen leicht herben Abgang. Nicht allzu breit gestreuter Aromenbogen, aber angenehm zu trinken.

Aroma is quite light with caramel and hay. Flavour is somewhat tart with some caramel and yeasty notes. Foamy palate. Quite fruity and untypical dunkelweizen. Also: boring.
