He also wrote the recipe for our steam beer. His demands on quality and taste are still the guideline for our art of brewing. The brewery has been family-owned since it was founded and is now managed by Mark Pfeffer, being the 5th generation. The old brewing craft is maintained by him - because he attaches great importance to the fact that original beers with character are brewed in his brewery.

Flip top bottled (BB 10/2010)
Thanks Edo/bierkoning!
Clear deep amber color, good cloudy beige head. Aroma is very metallic and has herbal (oregano) hoppyness and wet woody notes (pencil, cellar). Light to medium bodied, crisp carbonation. Flavor is quite similar to aroma: iron, some caramel, wood and herbal hoppyness - hard mouthfeel. It is nice to have a traditional beer style, Dampfbier, but I can’t say that I would like to have it again.

Swing-top bottle. Sweet caramel malt and tart cherry aroma. Slightly hazy copper color with small head. Sweet caramel malt evenly blended with a dry cherry flavor. Unique - somewhat like a mix between a dunkel and a bock.
