Huge frothy head that lasts. Hops in the nose. Hoppy, even a bit oily flavor. Thin with hints of citrus. Very pleasant ale. --- Beer merged from original tick of Blond on 26 Aug 2019 at 12:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle. 2006 version: flowery maltaroma. Soapy flavor with caramel and some roasted malt. Disappointing flavor after the fine aroma

Bottle Dark brown color. Malty, bready aroma with a hint of roast. Malty sweet, rather alcoholic flavor with caramel, roast and pear syrup. Roasted bittersweet aftertaste. Well balanced strong ale.

Bottle shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2019. Dark brown color, dark red glare, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, light chocolaty notes, slight vanilla perhaps. More bitterness than I had expected. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad.

Geproefd met dank aan Benzai. Donkerbruin troebel bier.

Bottle. Color: Clear ruby, thin beige head. Taste: Rather sweet malty, notes of caramel and brown sugar. Hints of raisins and candy sugar. Decent bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Long lasting medium sweet finish. The alcohol is well hidden. Lacking body and complexity. Mwah.
