Description
Former name: "Münch-Bräu Eibau".

In 1810, the Eibau brewery was established by the Zittau brewing community.
The location of Eibau was confirmed by King Friedrich August I (1806-1827 King of Saxony) as the first rural brewery in the Zittau area. Since then, beer has been brewed here in the heart of the Upper Lausitz.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear orangey brown with a small beige head. Roasted malty nose with some pumpernickel. Solid body with a massive base of roasted malt, burned caramel and pumpernickel. Hardly any bitterness. Solid effort. 141109

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, visible and with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma is roasted and slight metallic. Sweet malty and slight metallic flavoured. Roasted dark malty with a light liqourice note. Dry spiced and roasted breadish flavoured finish.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of bread, malt, and a bit of hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt, bread, and straw, leadiing to a dry bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, 5.0%. Clear shiny golden colour. Nice stable white head. Slightly sweet flavour, a bit of grain.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma light grassy. Sweet malty and and light fruity. Crisp fruity hoppy flavoured with a mild sweet malt note. Bitter and slight grassy finish.

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus, dusty hops, and a bit of malt, leading to a dry bitter finish. Quite refreshing. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, 4.1%. Papery aroma, not unpleasant. Mildly bready flavour, but also not bad. Clean bread flavour, almost like a rye beer.
