Fairly solid IPA in the standard vein. Copper, light biscuity malt, resinous hops. Fairly dry, somewhat tannic or astringent with a heavy bitterness. Nice to see some IBUs again lol. Can from Publix in Oviedo FL --- Beer merged from original tick of Five Points IPA on 18 May 2016 at 08:40 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8.5. Original review text: Nice one. Draft at C&L. Fairly complex hop nose, pine resin, tropical fruit (a funky pineapple maybe?), sweat sock, maybe some citrus but less of that. Flavor more resiny, solid malt backbone but it doesn’t get in the way, you’re still mostly thinking about the hops. Balanced finish. Deep amber color.

Draft sampler at the 2024 Rocky Water Brew Fest. Pours a reddish amber color with a tiny off-white head. The amber flaver is okay, but the gingerbread flavor is over the top. Too much gingerbread flavor and not enough beer flavor, IMHO. Pass.
