Plastic bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks mom & dad for this bottle! Clear pale golden. Grainy aroma with some vegetables, a bit of paper. Slightly sweetish flavor, grainy, with a bit of paper, a vegetables hint, and a drier and slightly bitterish finish. Light-bodied. Not good, but kinda drinkable when served cold on a hot day.

Bottle at a hotel in Hoi An. Thick white head. Clear golden pour. Odd aftertaste. Not great at all. Worth drinking for the rating only.

Pale yellow. Slightly apple nose. The palate is malt-accented with vaguely appley taste. The body is very soft, maybe a hint of diacetyl. The finish approaches tartness. Decent balance for bia hoi, but a bit more carbonation would help it out.

Draught@street restaurant in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Clear pale yellow color, good white head. Papery malty, but same time a bit fruity aroma. Flavor is green apples, corn malts. Thin mouthfeel. Fizzy. One of the most interesting environments to rate a beer!

Draugh at the corner of Ma May and Luong Ngoc Quyen, Hanoi. Clear pale golden, minimal head. Vague grassy nose. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and light body. Very simple despite it’s fresh bready malt character. Finishes with low bitterness.
