Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Brown-black pour with a thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Bourbon, malt and vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with flavors of oaky bourbon, roast malt, dark chocolate and vanilla. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Gold with a creamy, white head. Espresso and milk aroma. Nice. Taste is bitter the whole way through with a lingering roasted coffee aftertaste. Faint tartness underneath. Body to the light side of medium, moderate carbonation. Not all additives are a sin—the well balanced coffee makes a decent beer out of a fairly weak style. Pleasant.
