From a can, this is an orange tint on baron brown brew. Upon opening, it was a gusher! All over the place, quite a mess, what ever. First big swig is tons of foaming carbonation bursting and bloating in my mouth. Takes all I can do to keep it from squirting out. Better take a smaller swig next time. I'm not complaining, I like beers with that amount of co2! OK, finally on to the other attributes; it does have a pretty good well behaved attitude. Friendly malty red ale character. Well balanced for an ale and it hides its alky content rather well. In the middle, it does have a tad of bitterness but its behind the curtain, just peeking out once in a while. I'm actually enjoying this ale. I think it may be my hoghest rated Irish red ale; even better than Brew Keepers Eireann Dearg, Sullivans Maltings Irish Ale, Church Brew Imperial Irish Red Ale and Biker Brewhouse JD's Rumblin' Red Ale ! I need to get a sixer of this stuff.

Cloudy darker orange brown from can. Nice frothy head disappears after a few mins. Lots of pumpkin style spicy notes on the nose. First bis swig is surprisingly boozy, now that I look at the ABV, I know why! Aftertaste of pumpkin spices after each big swig. Warming sensations in the middle. Fairly flat, needs more carbonation. I'm not much for pumpkin beers and this points out why; mostly boozy pumpkin spices and very little pumpkin, JMHO. Becomes a little cloying as you near the end. On teh finish its a little better than those silly impy stout pumpkin beers but its still just an other higher alky pumpkin spice bomb.

From a can, and from the photo its obvious its not really purple, its colored like any other blueberry drink; sortah pinkish with maybe a tad of purple. But hey, yes, it does smell a little bit like blueberries, and its not artificial on the olfactory. The first thing I notice on the initial swig is that its got a ton of cutting carbonation, and I like that. At the onset, I think this may be wheat ale based; but then I'm thinken, this is not as rude as most wheat ales. However, perhaps the bubbly heavy effervescence of this is helping me to overlook many of the wheat ale shortcomings. Either way, its not too bad of a brew for a standard old fruit beer.

Can off the bargain shelf. Pour is a darker rootbeer or cola color with very little head. Nose is a clean fresh malty mixture. First taste is somewhat volatile malt but not as strong as I was expecting for nearly 8%! Smoother, creamy texture on the palate. Has a good muted level of sizzling fine co2 on the tongue. Some burnt caramel in the middle. Goes down too easy. Getting some charred bitter unsweetened chocolate in the back of the throat. Closer to the end I'm have some warmth in the gullet. Finishes with a somewhat viscous near-cloying effect. I think I'm getting a little happy and less inhibited, hehehh.

Cheap can off the mixed six rack at chalet. Smell is a little grainy, no lie! Taste is laid back for ale yeast, it seems to be tempered by the lagering process. Cool is cool. Just asking. (Of course we know that lagering is to store beer at cold temperatures during an extra fermenting period for a different flavor) The eye on this brew is lighter clear pale with a white foamy head that just keeps lasting. Fades to 1/4 inch but then stays craggy. For a beer that is near 6%, this stuff stays quite friendly. It does come across gentle like a cheap mass-produced US lager! Just wondering if they can meet the price point at the retailer. Overall, could use a bit more co2 to add to the enjoyability factor. Love those fizzy cheap pale American lagers! Fer-sher.

From a black can this pours almost clear pale yellow. White foamy head fades rapidly. Nose is simply clean fresh lager beer with maybe a tad of sweetness. First taste is rather civilized and easy, I'm immediately liking this stuff. As a lager lover, who never got use to IPA hops, this stuff is refreshing and welcomed. Some hints of straw start to come thru on the nose and the taste does get a little more like fresh baled hay in the middle. Good level of co2 as well. Just an overall friendly and quaffable beer. Hardly any bitterness at all can be detected, if any. Actually, I could probably drink at least 3 of these in a row and still enjoy them. I should have bought a six pack of these. Can't really find anything negative about this fun brew, good stuff. Not even a hint of any processed feel in this at all. No hint of the 5.5% alky content within, a well-balanced cream ale. Very mild and affable. Thanks Paladin. One of the better brews I've had recently.
