Bottle shared by Ster at tderoeck’s place, cheers! Top-fermented, Belgian-inspired French beer with moussy, off-white, creamy head and hazy straw blonde colour with warm peachy hue and lively fizz. Aroma of cereals, dried apricot, grass, cheese, apple peel with a slight cider hint perhaps, green banana. Crisp, fruity onset, appleish, sweetish with soft, berry-like sourish undercurrent but restrained, smooth and medium fizzy mouthfeel, cereally middle, simple and straightforward malt sweetishness, bit grainy, light bitterish, grassy and floral hop touch in the finish, somewhat metallic as well. Rather thin, simple, very classic and unambitious - if not boring - blonde, but technically alright.

31/X/16 - 50cl bottle @ home - Ster's first Ghentian tasting, BB: 17/II/18 (2016-1252) Thanks to Ster for sharing the bottle!
Clear blond beer, small aery white irregular head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, bit sugary, cookie dough, some caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, malty, grains, bit yeasty, fruity, some banana. Aftertaste: some banana, pretty hoppy, yeast, grains, bitter touch in the finish. Actually quite ok.

0.5l bottle from strasbourg biere import. pours a cloudy dark chestnut with a medium tan head and some lacing. aroma of hops, roasted malts, leather. flavour of nuts, cola, rye bread. quite dry. I’d say it is a schwarzbier and not a dubbel, but what do I know. not bad as a schwarzbier.
