Bottle Pale, yellow body. Frothy, white head, which diminishes fully. Faint nose of hops. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavour. A very weak, but not a disgusting flavour.

Clear gold; gold just off-white head, whipped cream-like, but fast gone. Dry chaff nose, going over in (markedly) glue and faint sweetness (as dried fruits; banana, apple,...). Dry grainy taste, on dusty, dry background. Nothing disturbing, just very dull. Ends slightly metallic. Aftertaste yields a (cheap) Chardonnay-like winy flavour. Dry, dusty, quite empty MF and nearly galvanic finish. Pff. Swill. Let’s hope it helps to save Dommelsche.

Bottle, probably from late 2003 or 2004 (not a huge turnover for stuff like this). Light corn and nuttiness in the nose, with some minerals and a bit of light chalk. Simple, pale-yellow appearance with a small ring of foamy, white head. I’m not seeing the roasted barley, though there is some saltiness and something bolstering the mostly light body. Seems like a below-average pale lager to me. Though it certainly wasnt a drain pour, IMHO. Wasn’t skunked and didnt have much staleness to it. A bit of metal on the end. I’ll stick to Modelo Especial for now, though I’ve got a large amount of tropical lagers to get through at my local store so the hunt is still on for a great pale lager!

Canned (BB 04/2005)
Very pale yellow, almost green color, small vanishing white head. Weak aroma of sweet malts. Strange taste of cutted grass, light-bodied. Similarities to some non-alcohol beers ... awful but gave me a new country :)

A light yellow beer with an OK but collapsing head. The aroma is sour with strong notes of corn. The flavor dominated by corn, with lesser notes of malt. The corn gives it a sourness and besides that it has notes of metal. The end is quite dry.

Dark amber color; creamy head. Nice chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Quite sweet, chocolatey, with delicate roasted malt and liquorice. Very interesting.

Pale blond color. Very light malty aroma. Dry, balanced, but too watery. Correctly bitter.

Pale blond color. Malty aroma, partially hoppy. Quite sweet, but with some reasonable hopping, and an interesting dry final.

This is a very unimpressive Brazilian beer. Pours a bright yellow color with a thin white head that disappeared almost immediately. No lacing to speak of. Faint aroma of what may be hops, or what may be my imagination. Very light body with virtually no flavor, which in most cases is better than horrible flavor. It’s still pretty inexcusable though unfortunately. The finish is lightly sour and hoppy. This is overall a throwaway Brazilian beer.
