From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear pale mahogany with an ecru head. Nutty aroma. Moderately sweet malt flavors.

Draft. A- Musty, mild citrus, soapy. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Dusty, citrus. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Little bitterness but it did have an odd dusty feature to it. Like it sat opened in an attic or something. A bit off.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a tan head, only a centimetre or so tall. Aroma of nuts, earth, dirt, light peat and a good deal of caramelised sugars. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty flavours at first show through the earthy malts and light grass notes along with a moderate amount of sweetness and a touch of fruit (grapes, prunes and figs) at the tail end. Aftertaste shows much more of the malt and earthy notes with quite a bit of bread and yeastie flavours and only a touch of grainy flavours with the nuts still showing through the strongest with only a little honey sweetness on the edges to battle the earthy bitterness. Overall, a pretty standard brown ale without much complexity or depth here - this is a relatively straight-forward beer that doesn't veer from the style, but doesn't give anything too nice either. Decent to try from the state and brewery and nice to have in the format! I sampled this thirty-two ounce crowler fill from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 13-March-2018 for US$8,00 sampled at home back on the other side of the country in Washington on 23-March-2018.

Draft. A- Cocoa, malty. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Brownies, cocoa, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Almost tasted like diet brownies if that makes any sense at all. A bit malty and watery but overall a pretty standard stout.

Draft. A- Coffee, roasty. A- Dark brown color, hazy liquid, beige head. T- Coffee, roasty, mild bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Very tasty! My only main complaint with this one is that it is a seasonal and not part of the core lineup because it needs to be. I didn’t know if I was drinking a beer or a pot of delicious black coffee. Really well done.

Draft. A- Cocoa, bland. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Chocolate, creamy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, creamy finish. O- This beer is only served on nitro. Normally, I hate nitro. However, it worked for this beer. Not as sweet as I expected and really quite smooth and creamy with only cocoa in the flavor. I would like to try a version without the nitro though.

Draft. A- Coconut, cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Coconut, chocolate, almond joy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Like a liquid candy bar. Up there with some of the best coconut beers I’ve had like OB Death by Coconut and BP Coconut Victory at Sea. I hope they bottle at some point so I can share this beer with the world.

Draft. A- Subtle smoke, slightly meaty, tobacco, roasty, char, cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Smoke, roasty, umami, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly smokey finish. O- Supposed to be a porter but tasted more like a smoked beer. Smoked porter I suppose. Regardless, it was very tasty and this gives me hopes they’ll do a smoked beer now because I think they’d do it really well.

Draft. A- Soapy, lemon, lavender. A- Amber color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Unbalanced, wheat, soapy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish. O- Really nice aroma. Smells like a nice hotel lotion, but the palate is very unbalanced and a slightly astringent flavor. Also no bitterness at all and it’s an IPA. Doesn’t make sense. The aroma saved this beer.
