Can. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet citrus with a slight bitterness with a growing crisp sweet grain note. Flavor is full of citrus with a touch of bitterness and a sweet grain and bread backbone.

16oz can picked up in Wausau WI. Pours an opaque brown black with a thin, steady beige head which laces the glass. The aroma is a little suspect, with some butterscotch tones, lots of butter. I’m not what they were going for for, but this comes off almost like a Caribbean Stout on nitro. Chalky, brown sugar and chocolate tones, not unlike an Eastern European Dunkel, cheap burnt raisin finish. Grows on you for sure. I enjoyed this a lot more the second time I had it.

12oz bottle picked up in Wausau. Golden-orange, slight haze but looks filtered. Thin, oily head. Odd, grainy aroma, slightly off. Clearly has some off tones, a trashy vegetable flavor and aroma. Cheap 6 row or adjunct tones. Kind of a joke for 8.99 a six pack. The honey smooths out what is a pretty unimpressive beer. Lacks depth.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma was creamy and spicy with a touch of banana in there. Flavor is mild cloves with a grity grain. Finish is kinda watery. It started out well.

From Skyview’s growler. Lightly roasted aroma and roasted grain flavor. Some nuttiness. Brown with a red hue. Solid for a simple session beer.

Cloudy brown appearance and moderate carbonation. Good herbal hop aroma. The flavor has more of the herbal hops. Quite dry and bitter. The flavors and aromas are good but I would prefer just a little sweetness and maybe citrus.

Growler from Skyview. Served very cold and I think that dulled the aroma and flavor. Citrus and wheat in the flavor, some bubblegum, and a little sour. Banana in the aroma and flavor. I do like it. Cloudy yellow appearance.

A strange fusion style beer. Cloudy orange appearance. Aroma of a tripel with yeast and light fruit. Medium sweet malt with bock carmelly flavor. Some herbal quality as well. Belgian Dopple? How strange.

Medium smokiness in the aroma with some malt. Flavor has bitter malt and very light smoke. Very dry. Considering the low abv, lack of fruit or sweet malt, and light smoke, this is more of a dry stout than a Scotch ale. Rerate 2018, eleven years later. Score increased. Slightly sweeter now, good palate.

This isn’t very good, at least not from the bottle. Sour, wheat aroma with some honey. Flavor is a little sweet, and this has more honey aroma than many other honey beers. But the sour wheat flavor doesn’t work with the sweet honey. I wonder if I got a bad bottle, considering the hand-bottling. I will rate this again when I have the chance. Light gold color, low carbonation, and no wheat or other sediment in the glass.
