Never been too sure of this style, although Void is a fairly decent example of it, matching a traditional citrus-pine hop profile with estery Belgian yeast and plenty of vanilla and grassy floral notes. The two sides aren’t entirely harmonious—hoppy Belgians don’t work for me—but not a bad pint on a hot-ass Spring afternoon.

Holy spruce bomb, Batman! Was curious how spruce would integrate into the normal witbier spices, and turns out it just plows right over them like an excited Great Dane. Mild notes of grass and clove, with a touch of lemon peel and yeast on the back end, but mostly this pint’s about the spruce. Interesting, but even more soap-like than a normal white ale.

Another excellent pint. Smoke is subtle but present, and the sweet fruitiness and bitter chocolate from the malts lead to a modest charred bitterness on the back end. Tasty.

Delicious. Bready, with notes of toasted biscuit and rye, underlined by caramel and a touch of cocoa, followed by a mild rye and caraway spiciness on the finish. Unique. Great.

Very good lager, with a baseline modest sweetness coupled with grain and a touch of apple, followed by a spicy floral bitterness on the back end laced with citrus. Delicious.

Good pale ale, offering up white grape, papaya, and melon notes against a pine-mineral bitterness. Happy to see OS upping their pale ale game.

Light, juicy, and balanced, with grapefruit, stone fruit, and pine sat against a modest grainy sweetness with hints of bread and earth. Very nice pint. --- Beer merged from original tick of American Pale Ale on 13 Jan 2017 at 13:55 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Solid APA. Pours a gorgeous gold-orange with a strong citric bent to the nose. Fairly strong hop presence drips with resinous bitterness, firm yet not overly brutal, allowing the malts to provide a grainy biscuit-caramel undertone balancing out the citrus and pine. Finishes with a lingering IBU-laced fade. Good beer, goes great with the pulled pork and corn cake plate.

Scratched my biggest beer itch. So happy when I come across a basic, well-made, non-adjunct, non-imperial stout. Roasty, with notes of dark chocolate and pine and a lingering bitter coffee finish. Hits all the bases and then some. My new favorite from the brewery.

Good dunkles bock, offering notes of cocoa, caramel, hazelnut, and dried fruit, followed by a mild floral bitterness that lingers into the fade. Nice pint.

Very nice NEIPA, pillowy and semisweet, with grapefruit, peach, creamsicle, and papaya on the front end, followed by a subtle grainy sweetness and a slight hint of pine in the finish. Way too drinkable.
