Growler from the brewery. Pours a cloudy brownish yellow. Malty aroma with some berry and herb. Toasty malt flavor, wheat, herbal/spice and a little bit of salt. It's okay but not really up my alley.

On tap at the brewery, listed at 15.3%. A deep red pour with a white ring on top. Alcohol in the aroma, red fruit, cherry in particular. Sweet cherry flavor, honey, alcohol, raspberry, maybe blackberry? Very tasty, if a bit medicinal.

750 mL bottle. Pours a hazed golden orange with some flakes floating around and a white head. Juicy, tart raspberry aroma. Flavor of course raspberry, tart/sour, with a toasty grain/wheat finish. Works quite well.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off fairly quick. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some roasty and toasty tones over top of some light bitter piney needle-like herbal qualities. Slight earthiness.
The flavor leaned towards the roasty and toasty portion. As it warmed, more piney-ness came out but still that was pretty light. Aftertaste was mainly the roastiness. Finishes fairly quick with some roasty malt.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt appropriate despite almost making me think it was an Imperial. Carbonation felt fine.
Overall, pretty good stout, guessing they wanted this to be a \"Colonial stout.\"

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a burnt yellow slightly speckled orange hued color with a finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated fairly slow leaving some messy sliding lace.
The aroma had some red delicious apple, banana, orange peel and pulp and then some citrusy/lemon pulpy sweetness. Light features of hay and earthiness comes in for a decent blend.
The flavor blends the sweet apple to the banana pretty nice and then adds in the earthiness to blend. Citrusy sweetness isn’t so much here in this department. Not much of an aftertaste, somewhat sweet between the previously mentioned fruits. Moderately sweet on the finish.
On the palate, this one sat close to medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under giving off a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt good as projected.
Overall, first one for me by Brewery Becker and this doesn’t disappoint.
