Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-rugged looking burnt copper color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Moderate lace.
The aroma had a steep blend of bursting piney hops coating huge amounts of a smooth caramel malty backbone. Some toast/cereal underneath.
The flavor copies the aroma for the most part and kicking in a little bit of smooth clean earthiness riding altogether on into the aftertaste and flowing right on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a purely smooth malt embracing the bitterness of the piney hops very nicely. Nice damp feel laying down on my tongue. Carbonation felt good and so did the ABV.
Overall, nicely done IPA well worthy of having again.
