On tap at CRBF, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of cocoa, earthy coffee, and toasted malt. Flavour is rather harsh and unbalanced, with big alcoholic notes, black liquorice, chocolate syrup, and a touch of earthy coffee. Not much malty depth, balance, coherence, etc. Ultimately, this falls flat.

On tap at CRBF, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has gentle lactose, some faint earthy cocoa, and toasted malt. Flavour is more like an amber ale given the lack of depth, with sugary toffee, bready malt, maybe a touch of lactose. Very watery, lacking depth. Poor.

On tap at CRBF, pours a clear pale copper with a small white head. Aroma smells more like a spritzy apple juice, with green apple fruit juice sweetness. Flavour is pretty terrible, with stale green apple, old fruit juice concentrate, and some spritziness. This is egregious.

On tap at CRBF, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has somewhat harsh, earthy, citrusy hops, bready malt, some faint pine, and a bit of a stale quality. Flavour has very stale hops, which still impart bitterness but no real flavour. Terrible hop expression that ruins this.

On tap at CRBF, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma has toasted malt, a touch of caramel, and light syrupy sugars. Flavour is somehow both too malty and yet not that sweet, with syrupy sugars, bready malt, and dry toffee. Not egregious but not really on point for the style.

On tap at the brewery pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice grain a little caramel malts. Taste is more of the grain malts and some caramel.

On tap at the brewery pours out crisp clean straw topped with a white head. Nose is citrus some tropical notes also. Taste is more of the nice tropical notes a touch f bitterness on the end.
