Draft at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear yellow gold color with a small white head. Virtually no aroma. This is a pretty standard Kolsch flavor. Pretty smooth and clean. Semi crisp. Maybe a very slightly soapy finish. A decent Kolsch. Medium-light body and medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a small white head and very good retention. No aroma. Here we go again... This is an interesting wheat beer. It's a nice simple wheat ale. Light lemon flavor and a light smoky finish. I've never had this style wheat beer before. It's a nice mix of flavors. I like it.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. Light coffee aroma. As the aroma suggests, it has a coffee flavor but not strong, with nice cinnamon notes in the finish. I wish it had more cinnamon and less coffee flavor, but it is what it is. It doesn't have much stout flavor. It's dark, but certainly not roasty. It is smooth and clean. It has a medium body; A little thin for a stout. Low carbonation and very low bitterness.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a crystal clear dark bronze color with a small beige head. I still don't smell anything. Smooth and clean and sweet. This has good caramel notes and it's very sweet. It doesn't have enough carbonation. It's almost flat. Medium body. Zero carbonation. Zero bitterness. I still like sweet beer so that's good.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a beige head and excellent retention. The flavor is very nice. Nice dark malt flavor, maybe a touch of coffee flavor. but not much. But again a little thin for a stout. Pretty good taste. Just not very roasty. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness.

Pours a dark amber color with a small khaki head. Fair lacing. Light caramel malt aroma. Sweet and smooth caramel malt flavor. Tastes like a Vienna lager to me. Easy drinking. Medium body. Low carbonation. No bitterness.

16 oz. can from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a crystal clear yellow-gold color with a white head and decent retention. No lacing. Tangy malt aroma. Light bread, honey, and lemony malt flavor. Medium body. Light, soft carbonation, in spite of the active bubbles. Not bitter. Okay, but underwhelming.

A friend has a place near Sanibel Island, brought back a four pack of tall boys for me to try. I’ll use the Great Heights snifter on this tasting, the pour shows a promising dark gold liquid with a foamy, totally white head. I call the nose promising also, hoppy, grassy, along with citrus and pineapple. The taste is a pleasant throwback. I get pine needles, turpentine, some dankness, lemon and pineapple. A nice diversion on a nice early fall afternoon.

[On tap at the brewery.] A glossy dark coffee brown pour with a thin beige head; aroma of resinous, piney hops; taste of well roasted chocolate malts, dry and rather thin; with a deep resinous bitterness. Nicely balanced and well made.
