Słabe piwo i to w dodatku wersja lagera premium, więc powinno być lepszej jakości. Niestety dla mnie tak nie jest. Słodkawy smak, delikatny chmiel, dobrze że choć trochę się go wyczuwa. Finisz trochę goryczkowy i zdecydowanie po przełknięciu wyczuwa się słód kukurydziany.

Bottle on an airplane (Italy to England, I think). Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Some cereal malts in the nose, basic hay. Flavor is quite bland, faintly sweet, with corn, butter, cereal, light metallic and floral bitterness. Light bodied with lively, mouth-filling carbonation. Short finish of doughy malts, light sweetness, mellow bitterness. Alright, just bland.

Brewed by Pedavena for BIRC SPA. Clear golden color, small white head. Corn and paper in the nose. Light-bodied. Papery, malty, grainy flavor, hints of metal in the finish. Not much bitterness, weakish palate. El cheapo supermarket brew.

April 2007 from BA> Green 33cl (11.2fl oz) bottle, claims to be an Italian Export Lager and a premium lager at that. Poured into a Veltins stemmed 0.2 litre glass. Pale and no head to talk of, very light golden yellow, with bubbles rising through the body then disappaiting without adding to the non-head already there. Slight floral aroma, but not a lot of anything. Floral taste too, a weird, sweet flavour, not for me. I have tried many lagers in my time, this one was drank in my garden on one of those rare hot sunny days we sometimes have in April. It is a poor example of a Euro fizz beer, no body to the beer, very watery in fact. The worst Italian lager I have ever had.

Dec 2009: Imported into the UK as ’Castello Premium’ with Birra Friulana also on the front label. Green 33cl bottle, poured into a Veltins Pilsner stemmed glass. Looks like a typical mass produced lager, golden, clear and with a pure white head on top. Grass, hay and nothing beery in the aroma. This is my first review this evening, I’m getting rid of a few oddments, I hope the others improve on this. A tasteless, featureless, nothingness of a beer. Why do they export such dross to cold countries like the UK? If I was sweating my nuts off on an Italian beach surrounded by half naked females then I’d have enjoyed this. Trouble is, it’s minus 7 outside and the wife is out. This is one cheap lager and there is nothing ’premium’ about it what so ever.

New discount brand from Castello, 66cl bottle brewed at Pedavena plant. Pale yellow color, small white head, lacing. Nose is strawy and aromas are the same: straw, grains, cardboard. Finish is slightly metallic and weak. Flat taste, quite harsh. Body is almost absent, carbonated, watery. Cheap stuff, unrefined and watery.
