Description
Founded 1997 by Claude Berri, Gérard Depardieu, Renaud, and Miou-Miou after making the film Germinal in Valenciennes. The brewery was called Brasserie des Amis Réunis, and located in a former slaughterhouse. It became the Brasserie de Saint-Amand-les-Eaux in 2002. In 2005, after a closure due to liquidation, the brewery was taken over by Jean-luc Robert Butez (owner of International Breweries and Beers), and opened again under the name of Brasserie des Sources.

Bottled 750ml. -from Casino Albertville. Dark golden/amberish coloured, medium to big off-white head, herbal and light spicy nose. Slightly acidic fruity, caramel, touch of spices and mild alcohol with light phenolic touch in the finish.

0.75 l bottle shared with Ogi who brought it from France. Thanks. Unclear amber, medium diminishing off-white head. Ripe fruit, spice, black pepper, phenols, toast, cardboard. Hints of ripe banana. Rough spicy flavour, some plastic, some cardboard. Medium body, slightly creamy. Tart finish.

Bottled 330ml. -from Casino Albertville, shared with hrabren. Murky yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, perfumed grassy nose with whiff of yeast. Acidic yeasty, buttery and herbal taste with short dry finish. Huge yeast sediment at the bottom. NEIPA only in the name and appearance, everything else is out.

0.33 l bottle shared with Ogi who brought it from France, thanks. Hazy orange, medium white head. Yeasty, doughy aroma, butter showing up. Buttery flavour, malts, sourness. This is gone bad. Light body, some smoothness, no hops.

Bottled 330ml. -from Casino Albertville. Brown coloured, medium sized beige head, caramel and whiff of fruits in the nose. Light roasted malt, caramel, hoppy and mild fruity with odd spicy touch in the finish.

75cl bottle from MONOPRIX LILLE TANNEURS, FR. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: dark amber to coppery, light hazy. A: malty, herbal, anise, caramel, spicy, red berries touch. T: full malty base, anise, caramel, spicy, herbal, red berries, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, nothing really special here, not the best balanced, drinkable that´s all.
