Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty, while the flavor is slightly malty combined with not so nice notes of metal and aluminum, leading to a bitter end.

33cl Can. Was pretty cheap and wanted to increase my number of consumed beers. A typical pale lager beer, I had better and worst.

Can. Clear, golden and white-headed. Malt, alcohol and grass in the aroma. The flavor is alcohol, fruity hints and some apples. Medium body and a finish with alcohol and some bitterness. Rating: 4-3-4-3-7-2.1. 060812

Can. It’s a clear, golden beer with a creamy off-white head. Malty nose with a fruity touch, and a good dash of alcohol. The flavor is much the same, sweet, malty, warming and fruity. Full-bodied and too warming. Some fruits and bitterness in the finish. Not very good, but a drinkable get-drunk-fast beer. 090925

Das Bier schmeckt plörrig und ist sehr wässrig, da ist wohl nur der leicht herbe Abgang erwähnenswert. Keine weitere Beschreibung notwendig. Test vom 1.8.2006, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 6,4,6,5,7,4

[Canned] Pale golden, ugly quickly disappearing head. Sweetish and very watery. Clean almost plastic mouthfeel, notes of vegetables. No bitterness. Artifical and dull.

33cl bottle from Eurotunnel French Terminal Building. After having had the UK version of this, I wasn’t expecting much, but this was good. Gold colour with thick lasting white head. Citrus hop aroma. A bit dull in mouth, but overall I like this. Good tangerine and a touch of grapefruit too. None of the yucky pukey lager malt that you usually get. Fine.

500ml can from Auchan, Calais. Golden with thin white head. Malty aroma, some hop, some citrus too, some hop bite on end. Strong lager that really isn’t that bad. Bit of pukey lager flavour and it really isn’t subtle over the alcohol, but I have had worse beers. I was also really angry when I drank it and somehow it fitted in with my mood.
