Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

Bottle from LCB. Clear gold with white head. Aroma of grains, sweetcorn, hint of grass. Taste of sweet malt, corn, some grassiness. There is a decent bitter bite to it and carbonation is about right and not overly gassy. There are light worse mass lagers out there.

Can from Home Bargains. Semi hazy gold, nice white top. Aroma is somewhat lagery with grains and vegetation but also has a sweet fruity citrus and stone fruit. Taste has a slight butterscotch thing going on with some tropical zest, pepper, tangy stone fruit. Light to medium bodied, soda like carbonation. Despite flaws there is a good balance between sweet and bitter and its still sessionable as intended.

Can 0,5 ltr: buy at the Digros. A very sweet strong blond lager, just like the pilsener but with 8,5 % alcohol.

Bottle 0,33 ltr: Fine chocolate, coffee, bitter tasting foreign export stout of 7,5% alcohol but where comes this beer from because Oranjeboom is closed?

Tap at a Chinese restaurant, long time not drink. An Pilsener with a long tradition but for me to sweet. Can 0,33ltr: Clear golden looks with an well balanced slightly dry bitter taste, its completely loss is annoying sweet taste when it brewed in its own brewery once, not bad at all this reintroduced Oranjeboom from Germany.
