Bottle in the hotel room, Dublin, 15/09/19. Black with a decent khaki covering ... a lively pour. Nose is dried fruits, charr, mellow roast, not great ... infection me thinks. Taste comprises bitter fruits, liquorice, ashen tones, dark malts, light spice, treacle toffee. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, drying close. Rather clumsy and likely carrying an infection.

Bottle on the Enterprise, between Dundalk and Dublin, 15/09/19. Reddish amber with a decent egg shell white cap. Nose is caramel, sweet malts, brown sugars, dried fruits. Taste comprises more sweet malts, cheesecake base, caramel, sugar dusting, light tang to the fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. A little sweet but a good malty bite ... decent for the style.

Bottle thanks to McNeillR. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - redcurrants, light citrus but mainly biscuit. Taste - less generous than the nose. A hint of red fruit but mostly it's brown bread. Palate - light to medium bodied. Dry through middle and finish. Overall - decent.
