Dark golden, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, white head
Aroma of grains, bread, grass, flowers, some sweet fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with some more honey and slight cardboard.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes grainy, grassy, floral, a bit sweet, a bit bready.
Good. Quaffable and quite full bodied, with the typical character of a Zwickl, maybe slightly hoppier. Tasted a bit old though. Nothing special overall, but solid enough.

getrunken im Februar 2017 Wie in vielen Städten, gibt es auch in WIen zwei bekannte Fussball-Vereine, die die Bevölkerung spalten: die Grün-Weißen: Rapid Wien,welche im 2016 renovierten Weststadion spielen und die Violetten: Austria Wien, deren Stadion 2017 dran war. Warum man bei diesem Rapid-Bier auf die Brauerei Schrems zugegriffen wurde, weiß ich nicht. DIe Vermutung liegt nahe, dass die größte Wiener Brauerei Ottakringer den Violetten zu nahe steht (auch wenn diese in der Sposorenliste von Rapid steht und nicht Austria Wien). Das Bier entspricht am ehesten dem (Edel)-Märzen von Schremser, wobei es mir ein bisschen milder vorkommt. Ein gutes einfaches Bier für das Stadion oder den Fernsehabend.

Neben dem Märzen, welches das wohlschmeckende Standard-Bier der Brauerei ist, habe ich mich sehr gefreut als eine Bar als Monatsbier das Schremser Premium ausgeschrieben hatte. Allerdings wurde mir ein dünnes Gesbräu mit einem süßlichen Geschmack aufgetischt, wo ich mich gefragt habe, ob überhaupt Hopfen beim Brauen anwesend war,weil fast keine Hopfenbittere auszumachen war. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

0.33l bottle. Malty aroma with massive hopy notes and light yeasty notes. Hazy amber color, white head. Hopy taste of citruses, higher bitterness. Light body, oily texture, average carbonation and bitter, hopy finish. Uncommon pale lager with notes of IPA, but very good.

Lahev (Dííīík...!):Deep golden, hazy, visible carbonation, big and stable off-white head; mild to moderate aroma of lemony/grapefruity hops and caramalt; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, not too light bodied and pretty soft; lingering bitter-lemony finish with some balancing traces of pale malt. Well balanced, nice brew...

Fajne zytnie piwo. W smaku niczym pelnoziarnisty zytni chleb. Pachnie drozdzami, podobne w smaku i aromacie do dobrych piw przenicznych. lekko kwaskowe i wytrawne piwo. Bardzo drozdzowe, silnie metne, kolor ciemnej pomaranczy. Piana slaba prawie wogole nie bylo. Ale to taka natura ekologicznego zyta. Smaczne i zdrowe. Skromna butelka do tego zielona nie jest moze atrakcyjna ale wyrazisty chlebowo-drozdzowy smak to rekompensuje i to z nawiazka.

(bottle, 33cl, as Schremser Bio Naturpark Bier, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, murky golden to amber colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly bready malty nose with hints of caramel, lactic notes and a discreetly grassy hoppy background. Mildly sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Tastes like a yoghurt beer mix with shades of caramel and grassy hops, leading into a sourish-tart finish. Yawn. 22.VII.16
