Bottle shared with heavy and ogivlado, courtesy of the latter (thanks!). Lovely darker amber body with a thick slightly off white head. Light malty nose, honeyish, a bit fruity, with some very light dust.. Distinctly bready taste sometimes making way for the notes of honey. A bit acidic. Light hoppy bitterness. Not too shabby but not too good either.

Bottled(330ml). -Golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, dusty boiled potatoes nose. Sweet malty, light hoppy and bready with notes of hemp and vegetables. Not so offensive as I’ve expected, but still nothing more nothing less than average beer.

On tap at The Rake. Clear gold, thin white head. That cereally slightly sweet bock aroma. Slightly hoppier than I was expecting. Good bock. You know what, it really is a lot hoppier than I would expect. Good sherberty hop.

Bottle from Utobeer. A slightly sweet but rather drinkable tangerine fruity lager. A good looking orange gold colour with plenty of carbonation. Quite tasty, a little syrupy and the carbonation is quite harsh, but the slightly spicy citrus orange fruits I thought were good. Aroma has some ok malt and fruit. I like the flavours in the mouth and the finish has some real dryness and lasting fruit. I thought that this was pretty good.

On tap at The Rake, London. Clear ruby. A very fruity malty beer. Yes some lager puke on aroma. It’s an alright fruity malt dunkel. More fruity than anything else. Some carb sting on finish. Finishes better than it starts. OK, fruit is good. But lacks that bit of special.2.8. re rate bottle from House of Trembling Madness York and drunk at home. better than before but a bit sweet. nutty. malty. ok.

Bottled(500ml). -Very pale yellow coloured, small white head that went away fast, strong industrial lemony nose. Low carbonation. Moderate sweet, rather usual radler taste.

500ml Bottle (The Rake, London) - 7.2% on the label. Amber/golden in colour. Malty, grainy and slightly fruity aroma. Malty and hoppy taste with some fruity and grainy notes. Hides the strength well and not bad for the style.

12/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing. What a surprise, it poured pale yellow body with small head that was killed fast. Lemony and sprite aroma...who would say. Flavor was artificial lemony sprite as all the other radlers, simple, without any beer characteristics. It’s fine as it was not too sweet and not so industrial as it could be. Boring anyway. Ogi, great thanks once again for all these beers those days!

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!), who found it in Austria and shared it with me and heavy. Poured a yellow/golden body with a small white head. Fakeish lemony nose. Lemon drops taste, sugary but refreshing. Not much beer here, now is there... a typical radler.

09/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured slightly haze golden to amber colored body with medium sized head. Nice and strong yeasty ale aroma with scentes such as banana, clove, some other spices. Mostly spicy flavor, some peppers, cloves, honey, banana, vanilla...reminds of a spiced wheat ale. Tasty, a bit sweetish and complex with medium body. Pleasant sweet and long finish with some lemon there. It was the top beer of the day, but I was not so impressed as my two fellows. Although completely different than other roggen I’ve tried so far, this is surely better.

Bottled(500ml). -dark orange coloured, medium sized white head, mild spicy nose. Very complex beer. Well spiced and fruity with touch of vanilla (ice cream) and banana. Light spicy and bitter finish, and pleasant long-lasting aftertaste. So far the best Austrian Roggen.
