Bottle at la nicchia enoteca. Extremely smokey with bacon notes in the nose, balanced and pleasant flavour. Really lovely Rauchbier, similar to good German versions even though this is an ale.

Bottle by the pool in Susafa, Sicily, 5th August 2020. Pours a light brown. Aroma is smoke, dark malts, caramel. Taste is smooth, smoke, meaty, bacon, caramel, sweet, but also some bitterness. Enjoyable

33cl bottle at Bottiglieria del Massimo, Palermo, Italy. Pours slightly orange gold with abundant gross white foam. Aroma is somehow spicy, grainy. Body is average with excessive carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet with moderate spicing. Finish is average.

33cl bottle at Bottiglieria del Massimo, Palermo, Italy. Pours dark Albert with abundant fine white foam, quickly fading. Aroma is nice, mixing smoked and caramel malt. Body is fairly dense with carbonation higher than average. Taste is pretty sweet, but also with quite some bitterness mixed to the smoked character. Finish is long and bittersweet.
