Bottle 330ml. [ As Ikkona White Swan ].[ Courtesy of my Local Swap 2015-1 MisoW ]. Clear medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dusty malt, caramel, light toffee - butterscotch. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt - yeast, marmalade, dusty malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150619]

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, wheaty, fruity and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. Unclean. 190615

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg. Aroma has sweet malt, some toffee and butter. Also apricot. Flavour has apricot, minerals, some grapefruity hops and menthol tones. Also some biscuity malt and grain. Decent. A weizen bock? Would not have guessed that.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, caramel, malt and hops.

Poured from a bottle courtesy of my Secret Santa. Aroma is moderately wheat forward with some light caramel and nuts along with moderate toasted bread. Faint fruit esters. Really malt forward. Hints of spicy, floral hops. Pours a murky, copper brown with a bit of an amber hue and a small tan head that quickly recedes to a thin film that lingers. Moderate lacing and medium length legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a lot of grain and toasted bread. Light wheat notes with light caramel and nuts. Moderate bitterness. Light spicy and floral hop notes with a bit of a woodiness. Hints of alcohol and faint esters. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice malty beer with a good malt complexity. Clean fermentation with decent complimentary hop character and bitterness.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Dorée presque orangée trouble, col blanc. Arôme de houblon aux notes vertes herbacées et citronnées. Citra persistant et agréable pour une malté plus discret. Palais est citronné et aux belles notes d’agrumes. Citra plus en retrait par rapport à l’apport malté qui tourne autour d’un profil pâle et pils avec une pointe de caramel. Levure perce en fin de bouche.

Dark amber to copper, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of grapefruit, some pine, some peach, spices, sweet malts.
Tastes of ash, fruity hops, honey, spices.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, a bit dry, spicy, fruity, hoppy, a bit malty.

Interesting. Really unique, doesn’t taste like a Weizenbock at all. Pretty hoppy and with surprising ash notes. Overall quite weird, but I like it.

bottle at home courtesy of Cuso, many thanks Imro. copper cloudy color. small white head. smells of (pumpkin) spices, pines, citric, milky smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes rather sweet, spices, some ash, light vegetable, oranges, grass. herbal bitter / grassy finish. rather interesting taste is a bit weird.

bottle at home courtesy of Cuso, many thanks Imro :) almost black color. small tan head. smells smoky, light milky, some spices, peppery, very light coffee, light bitter chocolate, rather nice smell, gets a bit unpleasant as the beer warms up though. medum body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. strong taste of spices (some association with vegetables comes to mind), some malty roastiness, light smoke notes, some citric notes. dry / malty roasty / herbal bitter finish. decent, liked the smell a bit better than the taste. taste has too many spices / herbal notes for my liking. but overall good.
