Draught at Beer Fest in Zagreb. Pours a dark brown color, topped with a decent tan colored head. Malty aroma with hints of roastiness and some nice chocolate also present. Starts sweet with some chocolate, followed by mild roaty feel and mild bitterness. Very nice.

Oct ’14. On tap at Dva Tona bar, Split. Hazy deep honey colored with brown hue and medium sized, very compact head. Honey sweet malt and some very weak lemon hops in aroma. Flavor was lightly bitter, but herbal hops were a bit too little pronounced, for an IPA. Counterpart was fruity and biscuit malt, pleasant but, in this case, too overwhelming. Real bitterness present only in its finish, orange and lemon hops prevailed there. Medium bodied. Not bad all in all, but also expected much more from it. Leaves slightly characterless, weak overall impression. Nevertheless, I’m really glad they’re continuing with seasonals that are modern, trendy in craft beer scene and looking forward for the new ones!

Smooth, yeasty nose. The beer starts very sweet. Sharp bitterness in between. Short aftertaste, very strange. Sweetish grainy aftertaste with a sweetish yeasty bitterness.

From tap at prerelease tasting at Medvedgrad Ilica. Murky brown coloured, small to medium sized tan head, mild dried fruits and whiff of alcohol in the finish. Sweet malty, light caramel, dried fruits and soft alcohol presence with nutty caramel notes in the finish. Without any exaggeration this one is seriously damn good stuff.

On tap at Medvedgrad’s 20th birthday party. The beer was on the house so huge thanks to the owners for that. Pours reddish-brown with big beige head. Wine like aroma and definitely some red fruits. Quite dry and alcoholic, fruity sourness and some sweetness. Full body, tasty and chewy. A strong beer, but you’ll be wanting seconds. Nicely done in style. Happy birthday, Medvedgrad! Cheers!
