Bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin [051213]
Light orange, soft haze, thin white rim around glass, good colour in the glass
Aroma - Fresh soft tart apple, with some fresh apple sweetness
Taste - Fresh quite sweet apple, juicy apple, soft tart notes, just a tad tannic, light spice notes, tasty stuff.
Palate - Very soft spritzy carbonation, light body, refreshing soft sweet with a light tangy background, nice very soft acidity. Finish as main flavour, only slightly dry, superb palate.
Overall - Great cider, really good apple flavour and little of that dry tannic stuff in the finish. Really fresh and natural. So drinkable - shame I only have the 1 bottle

Bottle, Ard Bia, Galway. Cloudy brownish-tan. Slow sparkle. Lightly tannic, almost a light farmhouse accent and with a juicy balance. Earthy, juicy with minerals, straw, some tannins. Great character - complex, slightly austere but still refreshing. Light spice. I could drink a lot of this. It’s hard to come by good cider in Ireland, but this is one.
