JAN-2020. Pitch black, frothy dark espresso head. Some roast grain smelly harshness upfront, a little hop remnants that has mellowed down, slightly sweetened cold coffee / chocolate. A. Slightest hint of aceto / red wine. No alcohol. Overall, the aroma is more roasty / rough than malty. The taste is quite sweet - sweetened coffee - followed by a strong pungent spicy bitterness (not green anymore) and a good deal of roast / burnt barley. Minimal alcohol. Not bad overall - the hops have settled, the balance is more or less there... A bit too roasty and sharp, and that gap between the sweet start and hard-core / bitter finish... 3,8/5.

JUL-2019. DRAFT at Cluj Craft Beer Festival. Very smooth with a velvety chocolaty taste and texture. Still, has some of that green hop notes, thogh much lighter. 3,9/5.

MAY-2019. BOTTLE at home. Opaque dark murky brown, dark espresso head. The aroma starts with bitter sweet dark chocolate, adds some vegetal green grass / green olive notes (that many dark beers from the brewery have). The taste is really hard core - strong and bitter, enough alcohol heat, really roasty, half-balanced by the dark sugars. The bitterness has those green peppery notes just like the aroma does (needs time, I think). Smooth silky mouthfeel. A really well done serious impy. A few months should dial down the green hops and make it a marvel. Until then, it is (only)... Very good. 3,8/5.

Tap. Pours opaque black, medium tan head, great lacing. Aroma is heavy roast, cocoa, leather, molasses, hints of ash. Flavoris light sweet, fully bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. 5,7,6,4,13
