Pours a rather pale yellow, with smallish head. Aroma of apples, some malt and yeast. Flavor was very apply--tasted more like a cider than a beer, actually. Not bad, but not really what I'd expect in an apple ale.

Pours a very hazy, pineapple-orange, with mid-sized cap of white, frothy head that lasts. Aroma is very fruity--tropical and citrus fruits as expected. Flavor is a bit more on the bitter side than the best NE-style IPAs. Not as smooth or sweet as it could be. It has some tropical and citrus notes, but a lot of the pine-spruce hop bitterness in the forefront. Not a bad attempt at the style, but could use some work.

Abr 2017. Black beer with some head. A little smoke in the flavor and aroma. Coffee is not prominent in the aroma but it is in the flavor. High alcohol is well hidden.

Sampled from the tap at ABR 2017. Pours a hazy amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of bourbon and sweet grains with biscuit and bread backing. Flavor has the same combination with a bit more biscuit and sweet grain supporting.

Sampled from the tap at ABR 2016. Pours a very cloudy near black with a dark brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is muddled with chocolate, apple, dark grains and roasted malts. Flavor has strong roasted malts, dark grains and chocolate with a musty stone fruit note.

ABR 2016. Black beer. The oak chips have Jefferson bourbon. Surprisingly thick foam on top. Lots of bourbon in the aroma. Even though I am not crazy about the bourbon flavor, but I do like the raspberry which is in the flavor. No significant chocolate which seems hidden by the heavily roasted malt.

ABR 2016. It sounds really good on paper, but something didn’t work out here. Light red color. Some berry in the aroma. Unfortunately the flavor did not turn out so well. Not very sour at all, and after reading the description, I am thinking it might need some more time in the barrel.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a slight amber hue and a egg shell white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of hay with some grass and a bit of citrus underlying. Flavor is straw and hay forward with a grass backbone.
