Draft beer at Random. Pours a pitch black color with a dark beige head and decent retention. Decent lacing. Dark roasted aroma. Very dark roasted flavor too. Straightforward and good. Medium body Low carbonation and low bitterness.

16 oz. can from HEB in San Antonio, TX. Pours a super dark brown color with a thick tan head and excellent retention. A little nitro-like action too. Very good lacing too. Dark roasted malts and chocolate aroma. Charred malt flavor dominates, with some chocolate notes and only a hint of booze in the finish. Much smoother than most imperial stouts. Dark chocolate bitterness, but less than the 65 IBU would suggest. Medium-heavy body. Just enough carbonation. A little boozy as it warms, but overall a sneaky good imperial stout.

16 oz. can from HEB, Boerne, TX. Pours a very dark amber color with a large beige head and great retention. Great lacing too. Malt aroma. Dark malt flavor dominates with a soft roasted malt finish. Super smooth and clean and refreshing. Medium body and lightly carbonated. No bitterness. Delicious and easily repeatable. They call this a black Kolsch, but it drinks like a light Schwarzbier.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a mostly clear yellow color with a large white head and great retention. Fair lacing. Pilsner malt aroma. Tastes like a pilsner too, except without the bitterness. As tha can says, it's light and bright, with a hint of citrus in the finish. Very crisp mouthfeel, light body. Very clean and refreshing.
