Bottle shared. Clear golden. Jenever, old bourbon, caramel, sour apple, apple blossom, sour green apples. Over medium sweet and sour. Medium bodied. A bit thin and the barrel aging is a bit rough. Not the best ice cider of the night but also not horrible.

Pale straw with thin white head. The white gummy bears, dry hard pear, fruity apple and pear peels, woody. Moderate sweet and bitter, hint of sour. Medium body and soft fizzy. Feels light and dry. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Peer En Kweepeer on 20 Jan 2021 at 03:18

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy pale yellow/lime with short lasting white head which does leave a nice ring of bubbles. Indeed some pear and quince, lime, light apple, mineral, soft funk, CO2, watery, green leaves, winegums. Over light sweet and sour, light bitter. Under medium bodied, medium dry and a bit watery with fizzy carbonation. Fair.

Bottle. 2019 edition, 7.5%. Color: Pale golden, fast disappearring white head. Aroma: Apple, appleskin, lightly funky. Taste: Sparkling, notes of mineralwater and white wine, subtle oak, tannins, moderate sweet and light to moderate tart apple. Light funky notes. Bit champagne like, brut, dry mouthfeel. Not much different from the normal, non oak aged Iessel. Well made, although personally I like my cider less brut.

Juicy sour green apples, very dry, lot of tannins, some lemon. Moderate sweet and medium to over medium fruity sourness, quite some dry and tannin bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonation. Quite nice. Hard to tell what the oak aging brought to this. --- Beer merged from original tick of Eiken Gerijpt on 20 Jan 2021 at 03:15

Bottle shared at home on the roof in front of a huge red moon. Juicy sour green apples, very dry and a lot of tannins, some lemon. Moderate sweet and medium to over medium fruity sourness, quite some dry and tannin bitterness. Medium body and soft carbonation. Quite nice. Hard to tell what the oak aging brought to this. Been a while since I had the regular one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Eiken Gerijpt Oogst 2018 on 17 Jun 2019 at 21:46 - Score: 7.
