Description
We offer a full range of tasty beers, from dark and mysterious stouts and porters through to lagers and hoppy pales. But our true passion is for heritage beers, which is why our core range comprises beers based on nineteenth century recipes and tasting notes. We have also branched out into spirits, creating our Limited Edition Hopped Gin in 2019.

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton for this obscure Smoke tick. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light sweetish malts. Good tangy dried fruits and a little lemon peel. Trace of tropical fruits. Dry finish. Decent.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the London Brewers’ Market. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head; looks good. The aroma, though, isn’t great, with tangy citric notes, a little acid, lemon, damp grains. Light sweet flavour, tangily suggestive of infection, with a bit of tea astringency, grainy pale malts, bitter grass and lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more citric tang, husky pale grains. A little damp carpet in the aftertaste. Pretty poor.

Bottle care of LKS. It pours clear pale orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, peach, apricot, nectarine, sugary, fruit pie, candy and earth. The taste is crisp, sweet - sour, nectarine, apricot, sherbet, earth, soapy, jammy fruits, might alcohol and marmalade with a dry, fruity finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not so bad.
