5 oz. pour as part of flight at brewery. Clear maple syrup brown w/ring of head trace lacing . Aroma is strong toasted malt, caramel & chocolate. Taste is toasted malt. Smooth texture, average carbonation, finish as taste. Aroma exceeds taste.

5 oz. pour as part of flight at brewery.Cloudy dark yellow-light brown w/thin cap of head & nice lacing.Aroma is strong tropical fruit, citrus & grapefruit.Taste is strong candied grapefruit, citrus.Smooth texture, soft carbonation, fin as taste.

5 oz. pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Clear maple syrup brown with trace sparkle, no ring or lacing. Aroma is strong clove, winter spices and lesser dark fruit. Taste is strong winter spices. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Good strength but straightforward winter spiced ale.

5 oz. pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Opaque, virtually black with ring of head w/good persistence, light lacing. Aroma is super strong vanilla (like extract from a bottle), lesser dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Taste is strong vanilla, dark fruit, roasted malt. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mild roasted bitterness. Vanilla is too strong and seemingly from a bottle. Decent complexity when you look beyond that. Flawed but OK.
