From a bottle as poured by Kel at Beaver Brewing. From the start I notice its a little thinner than the mead from the old country. Sweeter perfumey smell without any cloying effects. Very clear yellah look. Has a warming sensation as it goes down the throat to the gullet. YEs, warm on the tum - tumfer sure. Not bad but it is a little unrefined as the session continues. The palate becomes a little cloying and boozy. Glad to have had the chance to taste this rare sample.

I eas a little dissapointed in this after tasting their traditional meade. Has a sweet aroma but nothing like the traditional. Clear and pale yellow. More bitter than I care for. Not sure if hops belong in meade or not, very distracting. Weird and unique to say the least. Of course, this stuff is totally flat, like hopped wine. Would do better to add other sweet things into this mead instead of hops. Not impressed.
