About
The brewery was founded in 1827 under the name Stralsundische Vereinsbrauerei. In 1899 a new multi-storey brewery building was erected at the current site of the brewery. After the reunification in 1991 the brewery was bought by the Nordmann Unternehmensgruppe. In 2010, we began forging a new path. Today we do what we do best: We brew a great variety of top-quality beers, drawing on Hanseatic brewing traditions. To reflect this change, the brewery was renamed Störtebeker Braumanufaktur ('craft brewery') in 2011.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Tastes modest dry, nevertheless very drinkable - good beer.

The bottle looks good. The beer starts very washy, in the end really alcoholic. Not a good beer.

The bottle looks not spectacular, but good. The beer in the glass also. Tastes spicy, not too dry, that makes the beer very drinkable. Very good stuff!

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, looks clear. The head is dense and beige, but a bit small. Roasted aroma with toffee-sweetness, prunes and a fruity hoppiness. Quite dry and bitter in the mouth, sweet as well, with burnt malt, dried fruits and toffee-notes. Long, coffee-bitter finish. Pleasant and quite easy-drinkable. (071222)

A weizenbeer from northern Germany - very unusual. The beer looks good in the glass, fine aroma. Taste a little bit like banana, not too sweet. Well done!

bottle. Clear golden yellow with a large head. Very hoppy indeed, slightly malty. Resiny hopy, full-bodied. A typical North German Pilsener.

bottle, bought at Norma. Black colour, medium-size very creamy and persistent beige-coloured head. Lovely aroma of malt, roasted malt and caramel. Full-bodied, lots of flavours playing on the palate: malt, roasted malt, caramel, chcoolate, toffee... Slightly hoppy. Very pleasant mouthfeel/palate. Well-balanced, neither too sweet nor too dry - just perfect - briliant!

Test vom 6.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,6,2,2,12,3 - 4,40
