From bottle at 7e Noordelijk Lentebierenfestival, Leeuwarden. Aroma is ripe fruits without a hoppy character, very malty, stewed fruits. Sweetish flavour, lightly sticky, low bitterness. Medium body. Supposed to be a 'dark IPA', but there's little IPA to be found.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is yeasty and fairly fruity with malt, sugary and spicy notes, candied citrus, light floral, some ripe apricot. Flavour is pretty sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. On the sweet sugary side, nice (candied) fruitiness in the aroma.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is grindy coffee, chocolate, roast, touch of caramel, some liquorice and sugar. More coffee. Sweet flavour with a roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. A bit sweet, but nice coffee and choco aroma.

Fles 33cl thuis. Zoet, honing, kardemom, moutig, sinaasappel, suikers, siroopachtig, redelijk krachtig. (30-7-2021).

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally estery, yeasty fruity and sweet-ish, malty aroma, hints of peach and apricot, herbal-spicy overtones with a touch of coriander and aniseed. Taste is sweet, malty, yeasty fruity and spicy, notes of honey, coriander, pimento, some apricot and peach, a touch of orange peel, aniseed; lingering, sweet-ish malty finish. Minimally viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Nice composition, balanced and not overspiced - pretty decent.

Fles 33cl thuis gedeeld. Kalm, licht roasted malts, koffie, romig, suikers, chocolade, haver, cacao, klein zuurtje, volle smaak. (6-9-2020).

Bottle. Brown color. Red berries and a hint of caramel in the aroma, berries in the sweetish flavor. Hint of yeast. Tannines. Just a hint of sourness.

Aroma van wat sinaasappel, abrikoos en gist, zo zeg .... wat een suikerwater man, echt veel en veel te zoet, gist ook duidelijk merkbaar, floraal. Tsja ... ik krijg hem ook niet op btw... kan hier niet van genieten...

Bottle. Almost black. Caramel and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, sticky, slightly alcoholic flavor with caramel, milk chocolate and coffee. Not bad at all.
