On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has dry toasted malt, earthiness, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour has a clean, satisfyingly deep malt base that’s moderately roasted and quite chocolatey, with ample hops to back. Classic American stout with great roast and doesn’t skimp on the hops. Very good.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma smells like a kettle sour that’s been barely aged, with lots of lacto, maybe a touch of apricot. Flavour has plenty of wood, with some bugs, lacto, and gentle apricot. Dry, woody finish. Not particularly complex but drinkable and unassuming. Pleasant.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw, pours a deep dark mahogany-tinged brown with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of earthy, bready, toasted malt, and a soft piney hop character. Flavour is more punchy than expected, with bitter piney hops, light-to-moderate roast, earthy bready malt, and finishing pronouncedly bitter and dry. Balanced and well-constructed. Very good.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals bitter grassy hops, crisp biscuity malt, maybe a hint of pine. Flavour is bright, with bitter grassy and piney hops, backed with just enough biscuity malt. Wonderful vibrant, bitter, grassy and piney hops. Most excellent.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw, pours copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly uncharacteristic, with gentle pine and citrus, but really not much. Flavour is clumsily balanced, with a sort of rotting fruit character to the hops, some citrusy pine, and sweet malt that doesn’t support the hops, which are bizarrely expressed anyway. This doesn’t work at all.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Dry toffee and brown sugars on the nose. Flavour has that sticky, dry toffee quality; brown bread. Some charred sugars on the finish. Not the most elegant, more bread and less sugar in the malt profile would be nice, but this is very well put together.

On tap at Beach Cat - South Paw. Pours black with a beige head. Brown bread, dark sugars, and a bit of nuttiness on the nose. Flavour has a pretty solid malt profile for the style: brown bread, dark dry sugars, and some bread crusts. Very solid dark lager.

On tap at Beach Cat South Paw. Pours clear golden blonde with a white head. Nose is dank and floral. Flavour dry pine, and dank, floral grassiness. Malts are pretty attenuated. Decent bitterness. Not the cleanest hop expression, but not bad.
