4oz pour at CowDog Brewing. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Tangy NZ hops on the nose. Flavour has blood orange, some white wine, and tang from the NZ hops. Missing some oomph, but the hops are very nice.

Blond colour. The aroma is nice, indeed NZ hops character. Dry mouthfeel, but there's very little to say about the malt, really modest; the hop is good, and the bitterness is balanced. Those hops raise the mark, a bit. Decent.

16oz shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) in Golden Ears on Alouette campground. Appearance: almost clear pale straw with a white head. Aroma: dunk, car exhausts, dry, some tropical fruits. Taste: along the same lines, a lot of weed and herbal notes. Finishes with a. bit harsh noticeable bitterness. Overall: ok.

Slight haze, pale. Kind of a heavy mushroom character. Seriously, reminds me of the porcini broth I make. Not necessarily the best attribute for a beer, mind you. So the hop character is odd. Moderate bitterness. Ok malt -a beer that's more odd than effective.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has a very strange herbal hop character, like fermentation gone wrong. Flavour is much the same, with a herbal, vegetal hop character and bready malt base. Strange hop expression. This doesn't work for me.

473mL can, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted bready malt and a hint of caramel — doesn't smell authentic. Flavour has a soft toasted bready malt and a hint of nuttiness. Again, inauthentic, but as a standard amber lager, it's fine.

Poured from the tap. Lightly hazed golden amber with minimal white head. Quite phenolic, mild maltiness, but the sweet plastic bandaid really ruins things. Bleh.

473mL can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a vibrant tangy hop character, leaving no doubt that these are indeed NZ hops, with a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is vibrant, with lots of grassy, tangy, citrusy hops, light white wine, and a thin biscuity malt base. Fairly bright, nice hop character, but needs a more solid malt backbone. Good as is.

Amber. Bright. Not much head. Medium bitterness, biscuity malts. Good balance.

Poured from side pull tap. Chill hazed light copper gold with small white head. Mild tropical skunky hops, clean and simple, with a feint bitter finish. Decent. Could use more pils malt character if that’s what they are trying to market it as, but that seems to be a recurring theme with this brewery.
