Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop Vernray, Netherlands. Consumed this Friday 12th December 2025, cooking Thomasina Miers Picadillo (Mexican Chile) however this is for other meals, we were actually having Dishoom Masala Prawns and another curry of Masala Chicken with Pulau Rice and Poppadoms and Raita, however the poppadoms filled us up 🤣. 🎧 to Afrodeutscha on 6Music. Pours shark eye black with a head that was rapidly swallowed up by the inky depths. Warmth from the chilli gives a nice kick, also a pleasant chocolate streak throughout. Smooth, warming and a little boozy, lovely stuff. Score 7.5

Bottle shared at Free Beer anniversary. Almost black. Massive massive coffee, earthy, figs, sweet malts, soft blackberries, toffee. Solid seeet, light bitter. Almost full bodied. Lovely.

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop, Vernray Netherlands and consumed at the Wohnmobile Stellplatz, Zwiesel Saturday 22nd November 2025 listening to Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on 6Music and cooking Beef Carbonade. We walked from Zwiesel to Regen along the river footpath today, and with short walks in Regen & Zwiesel walked almost 20km in total. Okay onto the beer, it's got a little bit of a kick, both in abv and feels like there is a chilli element here. Pours black but not a big head, what there is, is light beige warming and with a bit of a kick, thickness in the mouth, good.

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop, Vernray, Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 8th November 2025 after a hard day working in the garden and a very nice Dishoom - Keema Pau (Loz made it, I helped), just had a Zoom chat with John now listening to Kelly Lee Owens 132 Techno. Pours pitch black with a cappuccino coloured head, sticky, oily texture and the nose.... woah this is all about the coffee, and taste also. It could have been super sticky and it's a bit like that but so much coffee and yeah bitter roasty malts. Super soft mouthfeel, yeah it's a bit sweet but fuck man, coffeetastic.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaque black color, small brown colored head. Aroma is malts heavy roast and heavy espresso. Flavor is malts, espresso, roasty, bitter. Heavy stuff. A bit sticky, quite viscous, decent carbonation. Solid beer.

Bottle shared at "ZZT nieuw leven in blazen"-tasting. Dark brown color, deep dark red glare. Small beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweet notes, almonds, "wijnbal van de kermis", bitter in the finish with quite some boozy notes. Okay.

Sampled @ Van Moll Fest 2025. Opaque black color, full sized brown head. Aroma is malts, roast, coffee roast. Flavor is malts, roast, coffee ,espresso, roast bitter, awesome. Fantastic beer. 8-9-9-9-9
