16 oz. can, pours a clear copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma is dominated by the Riwaka, with a super piney, white wine- and gooseberry-dominated hop tanginess, with a thin, crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is vibrant, with huge piney hops, tons of white wine hop tang, light citrus, and a dry biscuity malt backbone. Piney, vinous, tangy, dry finish. Wonderful NZ hop expression, with that Riwaka especially shining.

On tap at Ridgewood, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has gentle pine hops, a touch of citrus, and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is more assertive, with lots of piney hops, light resinous hop oils, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney, moderately bitter finish. Excellent.

16oz can from John's Marketplace Beaverton. My first beer from this brewery. Clear, dark brown, fizzy beige head. Light roasty aroma, toast. Taste is malty, woody, brown sugar , leather with a nice light bitter finish.

Almost but not quite dark enough to be a dunkle. Deep amber body off white head. Light pleasant aroma, caramel and herb. Full taste of malt and hop. Clean quick finish on full body.

16 oz. can, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma has plenty of earthy coffee, medium roast, and some soft bourbon barrels. Flavour is rich, with deep coffee, dark roasted malt, subtle bourbon, and a touch of dry cocoa. Rich dark malts, dark coffee, and subtle bourbon, with a silky palate. Fantastic.

16 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of dark dried fruits (prunes, figs, dates), toffee, brown sugar, and toasted caramel. Flavour is very rich, with tons of dark dried fruits, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, caramel, and moderate residual sweetness. Wonderfully constructed, heavy-hitting barley wine that still manages to be elegant. Excellent.

Dark brown, thin head. The aroma certainly showcases that amburana and vanilla both. The body is medium. There's a light chocolate, before the amburana comes through more strongly. That barrel hits hard on the finish in particular, with light vanilla. Not bad.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has gentle amburana wood upfront, followed by vanilla beans, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour has more subdued amburana wood, gentle vanilla, burnt dark sugars, and cocoa. I wish the amburana was more expressive. It's very good, but not what I hoped.
