On cask at Brewery Saint X, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is soft, with fungal notes and soft bready malt. Flavour is like a proper cask bitter, with soft bready malt and fungal notes. Soft and easily drinkable. Pretty much as good as the style can be.

On tap at Brewery Saint X, pours a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma brings out coriander, light salt, and some citrus. Flavour is legit, with lots of coriander, sea salt, some citrus, and gentle lacto. Has strong carb but not too much, correct saltiness, and nice structure. Proper gose -- nice stuff.

On tap at Brewery Saint X, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of spicy hops, grassiness, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is very spicy in the hop department — they didn't skimp on the hops — with tons of spicy, grassy hops, and crisp crackery malt. Spicy, assertively carbonated and bitter finish. Excellent.

Clear gold with some white head. 4oz sample at the Roost. Nose and malt and smoke and some sausage or embers. Flavor is grist and yeast. A little metal and some smoke. Easy drinker. Smoke is mild and it's helps the body. 6 4 6 3 13

Dimpled mug at Shelter pours a translucent rootbeer brown, nice cap of white head. Nose has rootbeer and cream soda and marzipan and caramel. Smells sweet. Flavor is a little better. Sweetness sure, but there is a big malt and bread character, roasted root veg. Chewy. Some tootsie roll. Finishes off dry. Good, but a bit sweet overall. 6 4 7 3 13
